Dusting sand off ten tiny toes. Sweeping soft locks from sweaty foreheads. Hugging away the sleepless nights and welcoming the early mornings with arms wide. Fastening raincoats. Finding missing shoes. Packing snacks and holding back tears during perfectly imperfect school performances.

Kia Ora, I’m Oriwia,
I’ve been a photographer for over 10 years, inspired by the East Coast of New Zealand where I grew up and its welcoming beaches, the unconditional dedication of doing motherhood everyday and the meaningful impact of storytelling.
For me, being a Tauranga photographer isn’t just about snapping a gallery of family photos: it’s taking family photography off your mental to-do list. It’s taking care of location planning, lighting, timing, styling and more, so your session doesn’t become another thing for you to ‘figure out’. It’s giving the gift of meaningful family memories.
It’s being a safe space for you to admit you’re worried about how you’ll look in the photos – or if your children will run rings around us. But most importantly, it’s the opportunity for me to tell you that I’ll take care of it all. That the chaos is just as welcome as the calm. That control can be swapped for candid.
And that, as your session draws to a close and the sun sets, stretching its rays across the sweet curious expression of your littlest love – your photos will still be incredible.
